“Home in San Antone: Artists Teaching in San Antonio Art Schools” is the second in a series of exhibitions offered by the Beeville museum, focusing on art educators across the state. The first exhibition highlighted the work of artists working and teaching in Houston. Ken Little, curator of the exhibition and professor of fine arts at the University of Texas-San Antonio, said: “We’re honored to be included in the Beeville Artists in Academics series and look forward to presenting the work of our talented San Antonio artists to the rest of the state.”
The exhibition “Home in San Antone: Artists Teaching in San Antonio Art Schools” features works by approximately 20 artists working and teaching in San Antonio and includes painting, print, drawing, watercolor, photography, video and sculpture. The exhibition opening is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, from noon to 2 p.m., and is open to the public free of charge. Many of the artists will be in attendance and available to talk about their work.
