During the week of TAKS testing, April 26-29, A.C. Jones High School will provide delayed entry for students.

If a grade level is not testing on a particular day, then those students will be allowed to delay coming to school until noon.

For those who do not have transportation to come in late, the buses will run at the regular times and they will be transported as usual. At that time, if they are not scheduled for testing, they will report to the auditorium where they will be supervised and engaged in an activity.

The following is the delayed entry schedule:

April 26 – 9th grade-12 o’clock; 11th grade-12; 12th grade-12 (except for re-testers).

April 27 – 9th grade-12 o’clock; 10th grade-12; 12th grade-12 (except for re-testers).

April 28 – 12th grade-12 noon (except for re-testers).

April 29 – 9th grade-12 noon; 12th grade-12 (except for re-testers).

Just as a reminder, if students do not show up for testing, staff members will be calling and going to homes to pick up students and bringing them in for the appropriate tests. However, JHS officials anticipate the cooperation they always receive from the students and parents for successful testing.

As an additional reminder, testing will end at 4 p.m. when the school day ends.
