The City of Three Rivers Animal Control Director, Joe Munoz would like to remind pet owners of the need to keep their pets current on their rabies vaccinations.

There will be a low cost rabies/distemper/parvovirus vaccination clinic sponsored by the Esse Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, May 14, at the Three Rivers Fire Station from 9 a.m. until noon. A rabies shot will be $6, distemper, $9 and city tags will cost $3.

The majority of animal and human exposures to rabies can be prevented by vaccinating your pets and keeping them away from wildlife. Rabies in humans can be prevented by seeking immediate medical attention with a series of vaccinations. Rabies is fatal once symptoms appear.
