Dell Hallmark has announced his candidacy for for the position of District 2 trustee on the Kenedy school board.

“I’m proud of KISD and the progress we have made in recent years,” Hallmark said. “My children (6th and 10th grade) have attended KISD since Kindergarten. I am eager to serve on the School Board and continue the improvements and progress.”

“I have had family and friends that have served on various school boards and I understand that it is a thankless job. This makes me appreciate those who serve in this capacity even more. I look forward to doing my part to insure that the students, the school and the tax-payer get the best representation they can from their school board.”

“I grew up in Corpus Christi and went all 12 years to Tuloso-Midway ISD. Further education and a job at Continental Airlines took me to Cheyenne, Los Angeles, Houston, Minneapolis and then finally settling here in Kenedy with my wife and 2 children in the year 2000.”

In 2000, Hallmark started Aero Matrix, an aerospace consulting firm.

“In recent days, as I have talked to people about being a candidate for the school board election, one issue that has come up more than others is the state-wide budget cuts in education. I understand this will be difficult and many decisions will need to be made to manage the process effectively.”

“On the School Board, our task will the responsible and accountable oversight of expenditures of taxpayers money, making sure that education is not effected by the budget cuts. We are also responsible to have the best superintendent available in place and allow them to perform their duties.”

“If you live in District 2 of KISD, please vote for me. I would like to represent you as the next elected trustee for District 2 of the Kenedy ISD.”
