Students currently in 8th-12th grades and attending Beeville, Skidmore-Tynan or Pettus high schools are invited to attend the final year of Summer Discovery Academy.

SDA is a fun program that offers dual credit, TAKS review and core class remediation in a fun, innovative curriculum. This year, the program will run from June 2 through July 7, Monday through Thursdays. No school will be held on Monday, July 4. There will be two Friday makeup days.

Students who wish to obtain high school credit must attend 18 out of the 20 days. Three dual credit classes (2.5 credits) will be offered: EDUC 1300, COSC 1401 and IMED 1445. Students also will participate in a field trip.

Those interested may come to Room 151 in the E building at Coastal Bend College on May 18 between 5 and 7 p.m. to register. Students will need their social security number and a parent. For more information, call Mrs. Younts at 362-6010, ext. 3.
