Excitement filled the Karnes City High School cafeteria Friday when representatives of the Karnes City ISD Education Foundation popped in amid much fanfare to present a grant in the amount of $1,000 to Karnes City High School for a schoolyard habitat project that will serve as a living laboratory where students engage in hands-on science inquiries. Karnes City Jr. High also received an $800 grant for using digital photography to enhance technology skills and a $1,000 grant for using cyberspace for relevance.
