BALL (Be Active, Live Longer) began the new year with a grand program on Friday, Jan. 2. John Breidenbach and his daughter, Samantha, shared memories of the family’s vacation of the Antiquities of the Mediterannean.

This trip afforded the Breidenbachs the opportunities to walk among the ancient ruins of the Turkish, Greek and Roman cities. It gave them a firsthand view as to the size and scope of these cities with the monumental size of the buildings, columns and the relief carvings found on the arches, obelisks and facades of the buildings. The blue of the Mediterannean water plus the skies with the glorious sunsets will always be a keepsake for them to remember.

The next meeting will be on Friday, Feb. 6, and guest speaker Scotty Draper will present the “Step Ahead” Program, funded by the Barnhart Foundation, for freshmen at the high school.
