Brush Country Cattlewomen would like to thank Elder’s Country Market for once again, hosting the drawing for our beef promotion during the month of June. Also, the Super S in George West hosted a drawing. Both stores provided a very convenient place for us to set up our boxes and plenty of space for the participants. Hats off to these markets for helping us promote beef!

Our lucky winners this year are Alex Zuniga, of George West who won this for his dad, Ben Zuniga, and Sterling McHorse of Papalote, who won this for his dad, Jim McHorse. Congratulations! They each won a $25 beef gift certificate.

Josh, a young man who happened to be in Elder’s Market, is pictured drawing for one of the winners. Thanks for your help, Josh!

The question to answer on the entry slip was, “What does Z-I-P stand for in beef?” Z is for zinc. I is for iron. P is for protein. This is why beef is so good for you, not to mention how good it tastes.
