Camps, camps and more camps; it seems like the summer has been filled with them.

Sports camps are a summer tradition and fill up a lot of time in between school years. It keeps a good number of our local student/athletes busy over the hotter months.

There’s just one more week of summer camps. A volleyball camp at A.C. Jones High School and a basketball camp at Skidmore-Tynan are on next week’s schedule of events.

The following week (Aug. 1-6) begins the start of fall practice for the local high school football, volleyball and cross country teams. The summer is going, going, almost gone.
