Telesforo “Ted” S. Adamez, 82, of Beeville, died Friday, July 22, 2011.

Mr. Adamez was born March 20, 1929, in Beeville to Elisea (Soto) and Jesus Adamez. He married Martha Saenz in Beeville on June 30, 1963. He was a truck driver and also worked at The Northside Bowling Alley and 25 years at NAS Chase Field for Avantra Corporation from 1967-92. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Elisea Adamez; a son, Joseph Abel Adamez; four brothers, Marcos Adamez, Cristobal Adamez, Nicolas Adamez and Cristobal Adamez; five sisters, Trinidad Zambrano, Maria del Jesus Perez, Bernarda Garcia, Beatriz Adamez and Candida Adamez.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Martha Adamez of Beeville; a son, John Henry (Claudia) Adamez of Dallas; and four grandchildren, Patrick James Adamez, Amber Danielle Adamez, Derek Braxton Adamez and Mason Adrian Adamez.

Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Musical selections included “Un Dia La Vez,” “De Colores” and “Yo Te Amo Mucho.” Burial followed at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning at Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Richard Perez, Robert Perez, Raymond Perez, Charlie Wilson, BeBe Adamez and Mario Osuna.

Honorary pallbearers were Roy Galvan, Freddy Moron, Frank Moron, Charlie Salazar, Mario Muniz, Abel Adamez and Nick Adamez Jr.
