The Pettus United Methodist Church and the community of Pettus were honored to have five students from Lydia Patterson Institute in El Paso with us this summer.

These students, Daisy, Giovanna, Alejandra, Emmanuel and Israel, were amazing in their desire to help others, their love of Christ and their willingness to cross cultural and language barriers. They reached out to the senior citizens at the Dairy Queen, our VBS and by helping in worship at our church.

They taught all of us what we can do when we let God lead us. They are also proof that it doesn’t matter what language you speak or what color your skin is, God will bless you and all of those around you.

We are so thankful that the Beeville United Methodist Church and Pastor McRorey shared them with us. We love you, kids. You touched our lives and we will never be the same.
