Larissa Liska (left) of George West and Natalie Elder of Beeville were all smiles as they prepare to head off to the University of Texas at Austin for their first fall semester. The two high school graduates were the recipients of scholarships from the Bee County Texas Exes Chapter and were introduced at a send-off celebration at the Beeville Country Club on Thursday evening. Larissa, the daughter of David and Rosemary Liska, plans to major in broadcast journalism, is enrolled in the business foundations program and is a Gateway Scholar. Natalie, the daughter of Reggie and Angi Elder, plans to major in speech language pathology. They also each received a T-shirt and gift card to the UT Co-op.
