Favor, Ruiz exchange vows

Krystal Favor and Orlando Ruiz were united in marriage July 16 at the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers. Pastor Harry West officiated the ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Linda Tadlock.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Irwin Favor, Sr. of Three Rivers. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Irwin Favor of San Antonio and Mrs. Lupe Raymond and the late Mr. Carl Raymond of San Antonio.

The groom is the son of Arturo and Mary Ruiz of Three Rivers, Steve and Gloria Schmidt of Whitsett, Jose and Emma Aguero of Three Rivers, grandson of Ramon and the late Rosa Ruiz of Three Rivers, Enrique Garza of Oxnard, California.

The bride, stunning in her Maggie Sotterro custom designed wedding gown, was given in marriage by her father. The matron of honor was Marissa Conn. Bridesmaids were Yvette Bowerman, Andrea Ruiz, sister of the groom, Yvette Gutierrez and Tabitha Alexander, cousin of the bride. Jr. bridesmaid was Tristan Sowell, niece of the groom. Flower girls were Rylee Howton, daughter of the bride and Kelsie Ruiz, daughter of the groom.

The best man was Phillip Zamzow; groomsmen were Chris Casarez, Jacob Schmidt and Oscar Ruiz, brothers of the groom, George Favor, Jr., brother of the bride. Jr. groomsman was Aaron Sowell, nephew of the groom. Ring bearers were Brandon and Bradley Conn, nephews of the groom.

The reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Ray Point. Over 300 family, friends and guest were in attendance. The venue was decorated elegantly with beautifully designed pink and white themed floral arrangements. Silver candelabra table top centerpieces, Swarovski crystals and candles set the tone for the evening. The spectacular event, an evening of lasting memories created by LGR Event Planning, began with cocktails followed by a tasteful dinner. The celebration continued with music and dancing throughout the evening.

The bride is a graduate of Somerset High School, Texas A&M University, Kingsville and is currently employed at Oasis Land and Water Management in Three Rivers.

The groom is a graduate of Three Rivers High School and employed at Valero Energy Corporation.

The couple will reside in Three Rivers. A honeymoon is planned to Hawaii in early September.
