The Cubs would rebound from the tough loss to Three Rivers by winning their second game of the year to go 2-1.
Aaron Villarreal would get the scoring started for the Cubs as he would score from 5 yards out with time expiring in the first quarter.
Gabe Tafolla would run the 2 pt conversion in and give the Cubs an 8-0 lead.
In the second quarter Yorktown would cut the lead to 2 as they would run it in from 41 yards.
The Cubs would stop the 2pt conversion run and it would be 8-6 with 6:21.
Villarreal would run in the second score for the Cubs as he scooted around left end for a 35 yard touchdown with 2:41 left in the first half.
The 2pt run would be stopped short and the half time score would stand 14-6.
In the second half neither team could mount a sustained drive as both teams would throw the shutout in the second half.
Cubs hold on to the victory 14-6.
