REFUGIO — Randolph Lee Acrea, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011. He worked for the Timely Remarks newspaper in Refugio and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Ranger to Rollie Lee and Ora Wadlington Acrea.

Survivors include his adopted family, Cynthia and Sylvester Martinez of Refugio; Brandi and B.J. Borjas of Victoria, Candice Simon of Refugio, Bobby and Luz Simon and Bethany of Corpus Christi, Trenton Simon of Refugio, Baylor Borjas of Victoria; and Mr. and Mrs. Huston Carver of Corpus Christi.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Scott Carver, Doug Carver, Travis Carver, Bobby Allen Simon. B.J. Borjas and Charles Cook.
