The Cestohowa Altar Society and Men’s Club held their Annual Turkey Dinner and Turkey Shoot on Sunday October 16th. The event was well attended by locals and many from as far away as Corpus Christi, Austin, and San Antonio. Nearly 2000 plates including turkey, dressing w/gravy, green beans, yams, and cranberry sauce were served in the morning. Bingo and tamales from Delicious Tamales of San Antonio were sold out by late afternoon. Over 120 rounds were shot at the Turkey Shoot by the evening. Afterwards, trophies were given to the top three turkey winners. First place was won by Jonathan Sekula with six turkeys. Chris Reeder was second with five and Mark “Rock” Martignoni also with five. The evening was closed out with a drawing for four guns and five other raffle prizes. The Cestohowa Altar Society and Men’s Club would like to thank all those who attended and worked at the day’s activities. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
