Karnes City Rotarian Randy Witte (right) shakes hands with Rick Newton, representing Paloma Resources, in appreciation for the company’s sponsorship of the 2011 Lonesome Dove Fest. Paloma resources contributed equipment and supplies used at the local event this year and Rick Newton provided much needed help in running the “Dove Nest” refreshments area under the big tent. Lonesome Dove Fest is hosted each year by the Karnes City Rotary Club to raise funds for youth scholarships and many other worthwhile community efforts.
