Vote “Yes” for the bond election this Tuesday.

Why? Voting “No” would do the following: 1) Karnes County would have to default on the current grant funding it already has for $617,000 plus from the Texas Historical Commission

2) Citizens would have to pay the amount to stabilize the building.

In other words, it would come out of your pocket.

Why save an old building?

Take a look at counties that have torn down or left their most valuable and important courthouses fall down or stand in disrepair (Nueces, Waller, Washington) Counties).

Not a pretty picture to look at.

What a legacy of shame to leave for present and future generations.

Politicians come and go.

The seat of government remains.

Vote for the present and future of the Karnes County Courthouse by taking a positive stand on this issue.
