The Karnes City Junior High 8th grade football team became District Champions with an overall record of 5 wins and 2 loses.

This group of young men made an effort at each game by showing that they had pride in being a Badger and encouraged each other to do their best as a team member.

With only 2 loses, one against Luling and the other to Nixon-Smiley, they worked even harder to challenge each-other.

“It was a great season,” said Coach Kyle Armstrong. “I’m proud of the boys. They played hard every game and were committed to getting better every day. Our motto for the year was play of each other and to get better every practice. It was fun coaching the boys this year and I hope that they continue success in high school.”

Coach Armstrong also wanted to add that he was also proud of these young men for raising $200 for breast cancer awareness.

The KCJH 8th grade football players, want to thank everyone who came out to cheer and support them during each of their district games.

Way to go, Badgers!
