Church of Harvest opens in Tilden

The Church of Harvest in Tilden held a ribbon cutting and dedication service Saturday. The deacon of the church is Matias Serrata, center, with pink scissors, who is a native of Tilden. He said after meeting for seven years at his home, the congregation of about 40 was able to raise enough money to buy a building. The owner was asking $13,500 for it, but accepted the church’s offer of $7,000. The building, which was used by a school, include a sanctuary and classroom.
