The Beeville Junior Service League has begun its winter coat drive with the help of Bee Cleaners. The drive is to help provide winter wear for those in need within the Beeville community. All winter coats collected and dropped off at Alaniz & Perez Garage or to Moreno Middle School by Dec. 1 will be cleaned by Bee Cleaners before distribution. Kicking off the drive are Junior Service League members, from left, Rubena Loya, Christina Childress, Tristan Martinez and Annette Sanchez. The JSL will have collected more than 1,000 winter coats since the drive started just a few years ago. Anyone with an old winter coat that an adult or child have outgrown can drop by one of the collection points to donate the coat to help another community member keep warm this winter season.
