‘We chose Mr. Porter to be our speaker because of his leadership role in the oil and gas industry and for his foresight in establishing the task force, the first of its kind at the Railroad Commission,’ said Rose Dove-Burch.
Porter was elected to the Railroad Commission in November 2010. He is a CPA and had a successful oil and gas accounting and tax service in Midland before taking office. His clients included oil and gas producers, royalty owners, oil field service companies and other small businesses and individuals.
Tickets for the banquet are $15 each and will be available after Christmas at the Chamber of Commerce office in City Hall.
