Badgers top Natalia, 73-42

Going into the game 1-1 in district play and 13-11 overall, the Badger Basketball team blew out over Natalia Friday and improved to 2-1 in district.

“We played hard and this gives us another win in district,” Senior Forward DC Williams said. “And our leaders also stepped up.”

Williams was high-point man leading the Badgers with 14 points, followed by Senior Center Brady Braun with 13, and Junior Forward Devontrey Forth with 9.

The Badgers managed to sweep away Natalia by defeating them every quarter and won the game 73-42.

The JV Badgers also swept away Natalia 64-23.

The Badgers will face district opponent Jourdanton this Friday in Jourdanton with JV games beginning about 5 p.m..

Tuesday, Jan. 3:

Being down 16-13 in the first quarter and 34-32 the second, the Badgers managed to pull ahead and defeat George West 68-56.

“We played hard and played together as a team,” Junior Philip Vaughan said. “We never had our heads down when things were tough.”

Senior Brady Braun led the Badgers with 28 points dominating over everyone, Senior DC Williams added 9 points, and Juniors Devontrey Forth and Vaughan scored 8 apiece.

The JV Badgers also defeated George West, along with the Freshmen team defeating George West too.
