Fire on Brazos Street in George West

Fire broke out in the bedroom of a home on Brazos Street in George West. A grandmother, teen and child were in the home; however, they were not hurt. According to the teen, the grandmother alerted the teen that she smelled smoke. The teen found the fire and shut the door to keep the fire from spreading. She dialed 911 and helped the grandmother and small child out as they waited for the GW and TR fire departments to respond.
