Police say the injured man was traveling by motorcycle in the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 181 when it was struck from behind by a blue 1980s model Ford pickup.
The force of the impact pushed the motorcycle into the back of a gold Jeep Cherokee.
The driver of the Ford pick-up stopped to look at the motorcycle driver and then left the scene traveling south toward Kenedy.
No one else was injured in the accident.
According to law enforcement, the accident is still under investigation.
