Houston Town is an amazing young man! He has served his country well and will carry the wounds of that service for a long time. He is a patient at San Antonio Medical Center going through treatment and rehab. Houston wanted to go deer hunting.

Sid Trawick, retired military and Wounded Warrior Hunt coordinator, was contacted by Butch Sammons, local resident and hunter about taking a wounded warrior on a hunt.

Sid brought this young man, Houston Town, to George West to go deer hunting. Houston spent the day with Butch Sammons, Charlie Vanek, and Sid Trawick. He was treated to lunch and an afternoon hunt where he made a great shot to get his deer.

For Houston’s and all the other military men and women’s service we are grateful.

Thanks to the time and effort which Sid Trawick and our local ranchers put into the Wounded Warrior Program, many of our veterans get to take a day away from the hospital and be involved in exciting hunts.
