Continuing development of oil and gras production from the Eagle Ford Shale is a topic that local newspaper editors predict will generate many stories throughout 2012. Four local newspaper editors were asked to predict what would be the big stories of 2012 in a special video documentary calle “2012 in Preview.” The first installment of the video series is now online at mysoutex.com.

SOUTH TEXAS – A new video documentary series began at mysoutex.com last week with a unique goal: to take a look at the year 2012, before it even happens.

Four local newspaper editors were asked to predict what they thought would be the big stories covered in their newspapers throughout the year 2012.

The editors of The Karnes Countywide, Beeville Bee-Picayune, The Progress and the Refugio County Press were interviewed in a video roundtable discussion about these stories, and not surprisingly, the continuing development of oil and gas production from the Eagle Ford Shale topped the list of stories these editors expect to appear within the pages of each of the four newspapers.

In the first installment of “2012 in Preview” the four editors talk about the impact that has already happened within their communities and also what they predict can be expected to happen throughout 2012.

Viewers can watch the weekly video episodes by visiting mysoutex.com and clicking the video playing on the newspaper website.
