The couple were married Feb. 2, 1952, in Edinburg. Mr. Perez is retired from the TDCJ after 21 years, and Mrs. Perez has spent the years at home as a housewife.
They have five children, Carlos (Alice) Perez of Las Vegas, Nev., who will be giving the celebration; Joseph (Lynn) Perez of Las Vegas, Nev.; Chris (Rosie) Perez of Harlingen; Craig (Estella) Perez of Pearland; and Cindy (Brian) of League City. They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Perez is the daughter of Tiburcio and Frances Gonzales of Mercedes. Mr. Perez is the son of Lupe and Maria Perez of Edinburg.
