Karnes County can be very proud of the participants that showed at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Ten steers, two pigs, one pin of broilers in the sale from Karnes county. So incredibly proud of all of the kids!
KARNES COUNTY 4-H CLUB MEETINGS
The 4-H Club meetings for Karnes County are listed as follows: Falls City 4-H, 1st Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falls City AG Shop. Karnes City 4-H Club, 3rd Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Karnes County Show Barn, Kenedy 4-H Club, 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:15 p.m. at the Kenedy Fire Station. Lonesome Dove 4-H, 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Small World Day Care, Panna Maria 4-H, 1st Monday at 7 p.m. at Panna Maria Snoga Store. Runge 4-H Club, 2nd Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
County will require that all photos be dropped off at the Extension Office by Mar. 1. You must submit 8 x 11 & an e-copy of the photo. The photo can be emailed to Meredith or brought on CD.
STORY BOARD CONTEST
Contest is geared towards youth who have a genuine interest in the fashion industry. It allows you to create a design from a given theme. Story Boards will be judged Mar. 1st at the county then proceed to district contest April 14.
RECORDBOOKS
There is a new online recordbook system this year. Training will be on Sunday, Mar. 4 at 3 p.m. We are having Becky Ham come in from Goliad to host training.
4-H COUNCIL
Karnes County 4-H Council decided to make care packages again for the troops. Please feel free to donate magazines, toiletries, etc. No perishable foods. You can bring these to the Extension Office and we will assemble them at the next Council Meeting, Mar 26.
