They voted Monday to extend his contract by another year. That means Hardwick’s contract will not expire until September 2012.
Hardwick, who grew up in Sinton, hired on with BISD in September 2004.
He presently earns $118,500 annually.
The contract extension did not include a pay raise or bonus.
Hardwick said he appreciates the board’s vote of confidence.
“I enjoy working for BISD and I enjoy working for a board that stands out. It is a professional board. They keep the main thing, the main thing — focusing on safety and the performance of students.”
