The bride-elect graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a bachelor of science degree in sociology. She also graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a master of science degree in counseling. She is currently pursuing state licensure as a licensed professional counselor, as well as a licensed marriage and family therapist.
The prospective groom received bachelor of science degrees from Florida State University in biological sciences and psychology. He went on to commission as an officer in the United States Navy to become a naval aviator. The couple currently live in Whidbey Island, Wash., where Matt is preparing to fly the EA6B Prowler.
An October wedding is planned at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
