Shortner was elected District Clerk after serving as a deputy clerk for several years.
“I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. This was the last day for me, I am now retired. My annex family will carry on, being strong at whatever they do.”, said Shortner in a post on the popular social network Facebook. “I have been very blessed by all the support the County has given me over the years.”
