The Lady Badger and Badger Track teams will send 13 to Regional April 27-28 at San Antonio’s Judson Stadium.

The teams competed April 11-12 at the District 30-2A Meet. Dilley edged the varsity boys out for the top team in the last race of the meet, the mile relay. The varsity girls got 4th overall, and the JV teams both earned district championship titles.

“The track coaches and myself are very proud of all of these kids,” Coach Donnie Dziuk said. “We advanced six girls in seven events and seven boys in eight events.  Everyone improved since we started practicing in early February.  We only have 2 seniors in the whole track and field program so we are looking forward to good things to come in the future.”

Junior K.D. Glenn paced the team at the District meet and will be competing in four different events at Regionals.

“I’m just ready because I’m one step closer to my goal,” K.D. said. “I just have to stay focused on the task at hand and just do it.”

While K.D. along with others have experienced Regionals before, two freshmen will also be making their debut at their first Regional meet.
