End of the 7th and bases loaded, with Freshman Ronnie Kinney up to bat and the score 7-7, Kinney got the winning base hit of the game. Kinney also rallied up 2 RBI’s, 1run scored and went 1-3 at the plate.

The Badgers defeated Jourdanton 8-7 Friday, April 13.

“I trusted the people coming up to bat,” Junior Philip Vaughan said. “I knew we were going to pull through with a win.”

Vaughan went 3-4 at the plate, had 2 RBI’s and a run scored. Senior Cody Salas went 2-2 at the plate, 1RBI and 2 runs scored.

Senior Pitcher Lawrence Carrasco pitched a complete game only giving up 1 earned run and totaling 9 strikeouts.

Going 4-5 at the plate, 6 RBI’s, 3 runs scored, a stolen base and an inside the park homerun, Junior Philip Vaughan had a big game on April 10 against the Dilley Wolves. The Badgers took the win with a 16-10 game.

Senior Cody Salas got the win pitching the game after coming in to relieve Sophomore pitcher Jeremy Coronado. Salas pitch 5 innings striking out 6 batters and allowed no earned runs. He also went 2-4 at the plate with 2 RBI’s and 3 runs scored.

The Badgers played Three Rivers Tuesday; results will be in next week’s editions. They travel Friday to Cotulla for their last regularly scheduled game of the season.
