On May 15, Scott’s radiation oncologist reviewed the brain MRI that Scott had on May 11. Unfortunately, the MRI showed that the cancer has spread to his brain. He has lesions dispersed throughout his brain, with the largest one about 1.6 cm or about one half inch in diameter. They started the brain radiation on May 15, but at a higher intensity than the preventive radiation would have been. He is taking other medications. The treatments should help reduce the size of the lesions.

Scott will be going to Corpus Christi for the brain radiation daily through June 5. I wanted to provide an additional update, since I was so happy last week to report that doctors said Scott was in remission. We appreciate all of the help and prayers the Beeville and BISD community has given us. We could not get through this without friends like you. Thank you.
