Rockport-Fulton — Four Grammy Award-winning artists, three days, two stages… the Rockport Music Festival will host sea breezes, coastal views and a star-studded musical lineup. Only in its second year, the 2012 festival announces yet another stellar lineup that includes four acts that have been nominated or won multiple Grammy’s.

Saturday will feature Los Lobos; Marcia Ball and special guests, The Blues Broads, featuring Angela Strehli and Tracy Nelson; as well as Greezy Wheels; and the Rockport Music Festival All-Stars featuring David Grissom, Derek Obrien and Chris Layton. Friday night showcases true Texas legends Hayes Carll and Rodney Crowell. Thursday, Toni Price opens for the great Delbert McClinton, who is back for the second year to deliver their special brand of Texas blues.

The Budweiser Stage has been added this year for non-stop live music between main stage sets. Saturday will feature Sam & The Some Beaches, The Texas Toast and Hilda Lamas. Thursday finds Fort Worth bluesman Josh Weathers.

“The Rockport Music Festival is going to showcase not only some of the best in Texas country and blues, but some California spice thrown in to finish the whole thing off. Many of our artists have collaborated in the past so there is a good chance for some joint performances – all in this beautiful new outdoor venue right along the water. It’s the perfect combination and one event not to forget,” exclaims organizer Capt. Tommy Moore.

The Rockport Music Festival is a member-based event designed to bring Texas and national acts to one of the most beautiful places on the Coastal Bend. Food and beverages will benefit the Aransas County EMS.

General admission tickets (pre-sold online) are $85 for a 3-day package, $65 for Friday/Saturday package and $25-$40 for single day tickets. Limited sponsorships that include VIP guest passes are also available. For more information, visit
