Police seeking public’s help with crash information

KARNES COUNTY – Police are seeking help from the public as they investigate a fatal crash that happened in the early morning hours of Monday, June 11.

According to information from DPS, a green Dodge pickup which apparently was traveling north, somehow lost control and crashed through a fence near the intersection of County Road 626 and County Road 169 which is west of the Lenz community about five miles west of Kenedy.

Police estimate the accident happened between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

The passenger in the pickup, an unidentified Hispanic male between the age of 30 and 40 years old, was found dead at the scene of the crash.

The identity and whereabouts of the driver, are unknown, which is why police are asking if anyone has information about this crash to contact them immediately.
