Approximately 100 friends visited longtime Goliad Texan Express owner Martha Mullenix during her retirement reception June 27.
Approximately 100 friends came by the newspaper’s office at 202 S. Commercial St. to honor longtime Texan Express owner Martha Mullenix, who retired after running the weekly newspaper for the past 29 years.
“There were so many people who came that I didn’t expect to come,” Mullenix said.
“That’s what I will miss the most – seeing my friends.”
Mullenix sold the Texan Express to Beeville Publishing Company. The sale became effective on June 27.
