VICTORIA — The Goliad All-Stars were eliminated from the District 27 Area I Little League Baseball Tournament on July 6 in a 2-0 loss to the Victoria Northwest All-Stars.

The Goliad All-Stars opened the tournament on July 2 with a 4-3 win over the Northwest All-Stars and beat the Runge All-Stars 14-2 on July 3.

On July 5, the Goliad All-Stars suffered their first loss of the double-elimination tournament in a 5-4 setback to the Victoria Southwest All-Stars.

The Southwest All-Stars won the tournament title Saturday with a 5-3 win over the Northwest All-Stars.

In the District 27 Area I Little League Softball Tournament, the Goliad All-Stars beat the Calhoun All-Stars 30-6 on July 3, but fell to the Industrial All-Stars 11-0 on July 5 and 7-2 to the Edna All-Stars on July 6.

The Jackson County All-Stars swept the Goliad All-Stars 12-1 and 15-2 in the District 27 Area I Little League Junior League Softball Tournament.

In the District 27 Area I Little League Junior League Baseball Tournament, the Goliad All-Stars defeated the Victoria East All-Stars 5-4 on July 4, but lost 11-4 to the Victoria West All-Stars on July 5 and 11-6 to the Industrial All-Stars on July 6.
