AACOG’s Alamo Area Agency on Aging (Alamo AAA) will offer a free Family Caregiver Training Aug. 13-17 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital (3349 S. Hwy. 181), in Kenedy.

Topics to be covered include changing the bed for someone bed-bound, pressure ulcer care, nebulizer treatments, gastostomy feedings, bathing a loved one, how to help prevent trips to the hospital by learning about UTIs, infection of pressure ulcers, COPD and other chronic diseases and much more!

A Certificate of Completion will be provided for each module. Seating is very limited and you must be registered by Aug. 3 to attend. Please call Maria Wilson at (210) 362-5276 to register. Respite care is available and a box lunch will be provided.

Alamo AAA is pleased to partner with AACOG’s Bexar Area Agency on Aging to offer this free training, which is funded by a Lifespan Respite Care Grant.
