Amy Kotara, daughter of Sam and Susie Kotara, was born and raised in Karnes City and is a 2004 graduate of Karnes City High School. She attended Texas A&M University and completed her paramedic training at Blinn College in 2009. She is currently employed by the St. Joseph Regional Health System and works as an In-charge Paramedic on a 911 emergency response ambulance in Burleson County.

Tim Davis, son of Ramona Davis and the late W. J. (Jim) Davis grew up in Rockdale, Texas and is a 2003 graduate of Rockdale High School. He studied fire science at Blinn College and attended the Fire Academy at Temple College, earning his Texas Commission of Fire Protection-Basic Firefighter in 2005. Tim attended Central Texas Police Academy at TEEX and obtained his TCLEOS commission in 2008. Tim is employed by the Burleson County Sheriff's Office as a night shift deputy and by SJEMS as a part-time EMT.

The couple plans an October wedding in Boerne and will live in Caldwell, Texas.
