A reader shared this piece of memorabilia from the collection of Morris Brown. “1931” is handwritten on the back of the poster, showing that football has been a big tradition in Kenedy for at least the past 81 years. The tradition continues this week as the Kenedy Lions are facing cross county rival Karnes City Badgers Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Kenedy in both teams’ season opener.
