The big all-class reunion of former Pawnee Independent School District atudents in late May attracted about 525 people, according to Superintendent Douglas Arnold. Seen here "just visitin'" are (from left): Homer Wolff, Doris Ryan Brown, Mrs. Leon Haverlah, Betty Haverlah Benham, Ella Welkener Williams, Randy Hazelett, Delma Hair and Willie McCarn Garrison.

Activities included a barbecue and program at which Goldmon McCarn, 88, of Mountain View, Ark., was introduced as the oldest ex-student present and Ray Coward of Carson City, Nev., the one who had traveled the farthest. Gladys Martin Elliott of Alice was the only member of the first graduating class (1923) in attendance. Arnold said the next school reunion is planned for the first weekend in May of 1980, with another to follow every five years thereafter.
