The Lady Badger Volleyball team kicked off district with a loss to Poth Friday. No statistics were available as of press time.
“I believe the season will go great. Our team wants to go far and we are all on the same page,” senior Coutney Pieprzyca said. “Everyone expects us to go far since we have many returning lettermen. We just need to be more consistent on everything we do as a team. If we can improve consistency then we can achieve pretty much anything possible.”
Earlier in the week, on Sept. 4, the girls ended their pre-district play with a win over Three Rivers 25-16, 25-21, 25-18

“Overall, the season going pretty good,” Sophomore Morgan Kelley said. “Our biggest challenge has been communication out on the court. We need to talk more. If we can do that, we will improve greatly as a team.”

Varsity competed at the Pleasanton Tourney and placed 4th.
“We were first in our pool winning two games and losing one on Thursday,” Coach Stephenie Johnson said.
The team defeated Mc Mullen County 25-10, 25-12.

“This season is going good so far. We have had our rough patches, but we always find a way to work through the tough times and get back on top,” senior Aileen Lundquist said. “We have a lot of experience on the team so that helps a lot. As long as we work hard and motivate each other every day, success and victory will come our way.”
The girls face Stockdale here Friday, Sept. 14, beginning with JV at 4:30 p.m.
