Country music songwriter and performer John Wayne Schulz strikes a chord with hundreds of fans gathered Saturday night at Lonesome Dove Fest. Organizers of the annual event that celebrates the start of dove hunting season in the south zone and raises funds for youth scholarships and other community efforts expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered or provided sponsorship for the event presented each year by the Karnes City Rotary Club.

Tractor City Country Store has been a Lonesome Dove Fest sponsor for many years. They have loaned mowing equipment and Gators for transportation to Lonesome Dove Fest for many years as well. Tractor City Country Store has donated items for the live auction for years. Lonesome Dove Fest representatives expressed thanks to Tractor City Country Store for their years of support.
