Following is an accounting by the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office of calls for service for August, 2012. Note they are by units/deputies (not including DPS or fire units) sent rather than a total number of events.

The high calls were from suspicious activities, reckless drivers, loose livestock and civil stand-by. Many of the reckless driver calls are from motorists.

The number of calls about loose livestock continues to be high.Indecent exposure is new to the list.

Along with the calls, deputies are expected to make patrols of the whole county and write reports and take statements to go with the crimes reported.
