A.C. Jones High School juniors Freddy Rodriguez and Estella Sanchez work the pumpkin patch with Troy Draper at The First United Methodist Church one Wednesday after school. The volunteer service hours they are accumulating will be listed on their resume that will be attached to their college and scholarship applications next year. The benefits of volunteering can be many, and The Step Ahead Program encourages all students to document their hours in preparation for college and career readiness. You can friend them at www.facebook.com/Barnhart.StepAhead.
