Fall has come and what a wonderful change in weather we are having. Every day brings something new in the community. This past Thursday the chamber hosted the second Microsoft Community Connections event with speaker Steven Orta of WRS Technology Services. Steven educated attendants on the Microsoft Office 365 and cloud services. What a great program for business. Our door prize winner for the Microsoft Office Professional 2010 was Larry Stewart of Volvo Rents. Larry has been working the Eagle Ford Shale area and participating with the chamber at every opportunity. Another guest at the training joined the chamber the following day. We really do have a lot to offer and we want to get everyone involved! Come and join us!

This week we have the students from head start coming to see us on Wednesday morning for tricks and treats at the chamber office and in the evening we will be joining Alexander Auto Center at their annual Merchant Halloween Trick or Treat at 1601 Escondido Street. Everyone should give Alexander Auto a call to see how to set up in one of their vehicles and pass out goodies to the kids. Every year more and more kids and their parents come and what an opportunity to do a little business networking. Come out and join us. If you’re still up for some fun and fellowship when we finish at Alexander’s, come on over to the 11th Annual Hallelujah Night at The World Fellowship Church at Hwy 181 S. and Flax Plant Rd. here in Kenedy. I can’t wait to get involved. I’ve heard they had over 4,000 people last year with kids dressed in cute costumes playing games, winning prizes, eating snacks and enjoying fellowship with one another. It’s another great opportunity to get involved in what’s happening in Kenedy.

Next week we have a ribbon cutting or two and plans are ongoing for the Annual Radio Auction and Christmas in the Park. Give me a call or come on by the chamber to see what we are doing and get involved with us. We also want to know what you have going on.
