GOLIAD COUNTY — Wet and cold conditions didn’t put a damper on Vernon and Gail Reaser’s special day.

The Victoria couple and invited guests from Goliad County gathered at 500 Coleto Park Road on Friday to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new Victoria Coleto Creek Lake KOA campground constructed by the Reasers.

There are 124 sites available now with plans to expand to 360. The campground sits on 60 acres.

“Probably about 1/3 of the land will never be developed so we have some green space and natural areas,” park manager Greg Dunegan said.

The park provides a swimming pool, laundromat, family bathhouse, fishing pond, off-leash dog park, playground, wi-fi access, cable television and is across the road from the entrance to the Coleto Creek Reservoir Park.

The monthly rate for RV’s is $375 plus electricity. For more information, visit www.victoriatxkoa.com.
