Cub Scout Pack 64 along with Boy Scout Troop 60 will be scouting for food on Nov. 3.

The scouts will be going door-to-door in Goliad collecting canned food. All food collected will be donated to the Goliad Food Bank. There are also collection boxes at area churches, Goliad County Library, American Bank and numerous other businesses.

At the October pack meeting, the scouts welcomed new members. The Goliad Volunteer Fire Department presented a program on fire safety.

The Cub Scouts are still accepting members. The first- and second-graders meet on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m..

The third-graders meet after school on Thursday, fourth-graders meet after school on Wednesdays and fifth-graders meet at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. All meetings are held at the First United Methodist Church.

The Cub Scouts, above, helped at Missions Tour de Goliad and worked the SAG stop and visiting with the riders. To learn more about Cub Scouts, call Matt Bochat at 550-3357.
